Our Story

TEXOOL is closely held family enterprise recently completed 50 years, and during its illustrious journey has graduated from an enterprising sole selling concessionaries representing overseas suppliers of raw material for the textile recycling industry to industrialization in setting up 2 shoddy recycling spinning plants in Punjab & Haryana, the hub of 'Textile Recycling' industry, to being the first Textile Recycling unit to be set up in the "Special Economic Zone" Kandla in 2003.
 

In 2009 AUTHENTIC IMPEX was started as an upcycling arm of Texool, converting imported
post consumer hotel and restaurants bed & table linen into fashion accessories, has grown to be one of
India's synonymous names in Textile Recycling.

2023 saw the birth of startup TEXOOL REFASHION primarily aimed at recycling post consumer textiles,
promote circularity in the Indian Ecosystem and to manufacture recycled lifestyle products under
its brands I AM SO WASTED & I AM NOT A VIRGIN with GRS certification.

Our recycled Brands and post consumer textile collection drive under our 'SECOND CHANCE BINS' ,
will compliment each other in driving confidence of our patrons,

Global Recycle Standard Certified

We are proud to be Global Recycled Standard certified the Control Union Worldwide.
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of Recycled Content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The goal of the GRS is to increase use of Recycled materials in products and reduce/eliminate the harm caused by its production.

We are also certified by the Ministry of Textiles for being an upcycled Textile Manufacturer.

The aim is to promote upcycled textile products, women empowerment and livelihoods generation.

The ministry wants to align untapped entrepreneurial energy from established and emerging Upcyclers in India
